In a statement released to the press by his media team on Sunday, January 14, the distinguished business magnate recounted the support, encouragement, and insightful counsel he received from President Tinubu in realizing the refinery project. Meanwhile, President Tinubu, in his address to Nigerians on New Year’s Day, indirectly indicated that the federal government and, indeed, Nigerians were anxiously anticipating the commencement of production at Dangote and Port Harcourt refineries to alleviate the associated hardships on citizens after the fuel subsidy removal. Specifically, Dangote expressed heartfelt appreciation to key stakeholders, including President Tinubu and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), for their pivotal role in transforming the refinery dream into reality, as reported by The Guardian. He stated: “I want to express my gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering support and for turning our dream into reality.
