The application forms for teaching jobs in secondary schools in Ekiti State will close on Sunday.
The exercise, which began on Tuesday had seen intending teachers filling and submitting the forms online with a view to secure employment under the state Teaching Service Commission.
The recruitment of secondary school teachers is coming barely two months after the state government employed 1,300 teachers to fill vacancies in primary schools in the state.
The Permanent Secretary, Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission, Mike Omolayo, had on Monday urged qualified candidates in secondary schools to fill out an online application form between Tuesday 4th July and Sunday 9th July 2023.
Omolayo stated, “Each candidate is expected to use a functional e-mail address, attach a passport photograph to the application, have a valid NIN number, and print his or her Examination ID Slip after submission for presentation at the examination venue on Saturday, 15th July, 2023.”
“The candidates should possess teaching qualifications (NCE, B.Sc. Ed, B.Ed, BA Ed. BSC/PGDE, BA/PGDE, B.Tech/PGDE, B.Eng/PGDE, HND/PGDE NCE/BA, NCE/B.Sc, NCE/B.Tech, NCE/B.Eng) in relevant subject areas from reputable and recognised institutions”.
“They should be between ages 18 and 45 years, ICT literate, and must be able to deploy ICT for teaching/instructional delivery and they should be prepared to work in the rural communities”.
