Relatable lifestyles of the African child.
1. The ode of an African Child

I grew up tied in napkins,
That goes through rebirth in Mama's hands,
Unlike y'all that grew through pampers.
The ode of an African child.
Have you ever tried the rocky 'olota'
Or the wicked ' omorogún
Those moments we have to grind and stir
Till the African strength comes into us.
For all have sinned, no doubts
But have you ever repented because of 'Ígbàlé
Seeing the numerous lines laced with pain on your skin
And the dried tears on your face like tribal marks
Have you been beaten like a taffeta cloth.
Or laced with caneful designs like Adire
Come new generations, come bread and butter
Come and listen to my tales and that of the mortar.
