Leicester City's dynamic forward and Super Eagles luminary, Kelechi Iheanacho, is anticipated to rendezvous with the Super Eagles squad in Abidjan come Friday.
Iheanacho, hindered by a muscular injury, missed the team assembly in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
In a candid interview with NFF TV, head coach Jose Peseiro disclosed that the striker has successfully recuperated from the injury. Despite this, Iheanacho is unlikely to grace Nigeria's inaugural match against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday.
"Kelechi will be accompanying us to Cote d’Ivoire," Peseiro affirmed. "He has completed his rehabilitation at Leicester City."
Regrettably, Leicester City's teammate, Wilfred Ndidi, is already sidelined from the competition due to injury.
Furthermore, the manager divulged that OGC Nice forward, Terem Moffi, a last-minute replacement for Victor Boniface, is set to unite with the team on Sunday.
